Hotlap Competition Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

  • Each Hotlap Challenge ("the Competition") is organized by Simply Race and is held at either of its venues: Milton Keynes or Manchester. The Competition is open to all eligible participants as defined below and is subject to the following Terms and Conditions.

2. Competition Duration

  • Each Competition launches on a Monday and runs for 4 weeks (28 days).

  • The start and end dates will be clearly published for each Competition round.

 

3. Eligibility

  • Open to individuals aged 7 years and above.

  • Participants must meet a minimum height requirement of 125 cm (4 ft 1 in).

  • Employees of Simply Race and their immediate family members are not eligible to win prizes.

 

4. How to Enter

  • To enter, participants must set a lap time using the designated car and track.

  • Lap times must be set during any valid session hosted at Simply Race Milton Keynes or Manchester, whether public or private.

  • Only sessions using the official Competition configuration will be considered.

  • An entry fee is required: participants must complete either a practice session or participate in a Nürburgring Monday session for their lap time to be valid.

 

5. Setup Restrictions

  • Changing the car setup is not permitted.

  • All participants must use the default fixed setup provided.

  • Failure to comply may result in lap disqualification.

 

6. Lap Validity

  • Only valid, clean laps will be counted.

  • Illegal laps (e.g., track cuts, wall riding, off-track shortcuts, in-game penalties, etc.) will be disqualified.

  • The use of game exploits, bugs, or glitches to gain an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.

  • Lap times are subject to manual review by event staff.

  • Sessions are subject to time limits: if a session ends and cuts off a lap due to exceeding the advertised session time, that lap will not be counted, regardless of sector performance or potential records.

 

7. Scoring and Winner Selection

  • The 3 participants with the fastest valid lap times at the end of the 4-week period will be declared the winners and earn prizes.

  • In the event of a tie, the earliest submitted lap time will determine the winner.

  • All decisions by Simply Race are final and binding.

 

8. Prizes

  • The winners will receive a voucher redeemable only at the Simply Race venue (Milton Keynes or Manchester) where the challenge was completed.

  • Vouchers have no expiration date.

  • Prizes are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.

  • Simply Race reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative of equal or greater value.

 

9. Data & Privacy

  • By entering, participants agree to the collection and use of their data for the purposes of administering the Competition.

  • Participants agree to have their names and lap times published for promotional purposes.

 

10. Liability & Disclaimer

  • Simply Race is not responsible for any technical issues, hardware failures, or disconnections that may affect lap submissions.

  • Participants enter at their own risk. Simply Race accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage of any kind.

 

11. General Terms

  • Simply Race reserves the right to modify or cancel the Competition at any time without prior notice.

  • All other Simply Race Terms and Conditions apply.
